New Hairstyle Trends in 2009

New Hairstyle Trends For Summer and Fall 2009

Thinking about the new hair style trends in 2009, one might say: “everything old is new again.” Because this year with the fashion world in love with nostalgia, hair salons are busy creating 2009 hairstyles to follow suit. Fashion designers and hair stylists have been taking a trip down memory lane to the era of pure Hollywood glamour of the 1940s.

New Hairstyle Trends 2009

With the immense popularity of retro fashion, it’s no wonder that we are seeing more sophistication reflected in hairstyling. Whether you are in New York or Paris, the catwalks are full of models wearing the hairstyle of this era when “kinking” was to stylists what layering is today. Some of the most gorgeous updos were created during this time giving celebrities that added a touch of elegance to their appearance.
Some of these new hairstyle trends require quite a bit of time to master, along with a variety of different hair products. But there is something for everyone in the new styles. If you prefer a less complicated look, you be delighted to know that the other big trend in hair styles is the “bedhead” look. Completely opposite of the impeccable styling of retro fashion, the dominating features of this new hair style trend in 2009 is big, fluffy curls, a “messy-on-purpose” attitude with just a little bit of punk thrown in for good measure. Aside from this look that works for medium length hair, the super-short crop and brilliant auburn hair color is making a big comeback.
